OOBE
the Out Of Body Experience....
For those, that are not familiar with the
term, Out of body experiences refers to experience in which a persons
conscious is said to leave their physical body enabling the person
to observe reality from a point of view other then of the physical
body & their normal physical senses.
These experiences are not very uncommon. It is speculated that about
one person out of ten will at least have one Oobe during their life.
Even that it is most likely to Oobe during a state of resting; drifting
off to sleep or deep relaxation this is not always the case. In
all reality they can occur during almost any kind of activity or
state of mind.
Most Oobe’s will be experienced spontaneously & without
any former practice.
But other people will consciously induce this state with great success.
People that have mastered this skill often times will state that
their Oobe experiences helped them to widen their conscious to either
develop or to improve the skills of Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Clairaudience,
Precognition and Psycho and Telekinesis and more.
There are many different techniques that one can try to work with.
I will introduce you to three of them that are rather easy to start
out with:
Before you start to consciously induce an Oobe, put on some comfortable
clothing, find a place that you feel save & secure in and make
sure that you will not be disturbed.
For more comfort you could burn some incense and play some relaxing
music.
Before you get started with the visualizations concentrate on your
breathing and try to let all your thoughts pass by. Slowly try to
let them go, clear your mind; you can always get back to them at
a later point. When you feel relaxed you might want to protect yourself.
To protect myself I again use visualization.
For my own protection I visualize a fire circle surrounding myself.
If I feel threatened I let it grow to become a dome, which then
completely shields me off.
Just use your imagination and what feels right to you.
Little blue stars raining down on you; imagining yourself in a see
through bubble; a bright light shining down on you…these are
just a few examples.
If you believe in a higher power pray & ask for protection;
use a protection spell or ask your guides to stand by your side.
The most important I believe is to trust in yourself & in what
you do to protect yourself.
When you feel very relaxed, in your mind try to visualize a black
dice about 2 inches in height & width.
Try to hold this image.
Now imagine a gray cloud about 4 inches to the left side of the
dice that is a little bigger then your dice.
You now see the black dice & the gray cloud next to each other
about 4 inches apart.
Try to hold this image.
Then visualize a bright ray of light coming out of the left side
of the dice, slowly moving towards the cloud.
When the light gets to the cloud it will brighten it up. Bit by
bit with each ray of light you send to the cloud it gets brighter
& brighter. And fills up with the light….
Another technique that I like using, is to visualize myself lying
in the grass of a beautiful flower covered field. I there will watch
the clouds pass by, listen to the running water of a little stream,
the birds sing etc.
After I feel very relaxed I will slowly get up & I walk towards
an imaginary door that is standing in the middle of that field.
I will open this door with a little key, walk through it and close
it behind me. I then see a bright tunnel. I start to walk slowly
& then faster & faster with each step until I’m running
so fast, that I loose the ground under my feet & start flying
towards the bright light at the end of that tunnel…..
Another easy one is to again lie on your back in a comfortable position
to imagine that you are floating up off the bed. Hold that position,
slightly lifted, for some time until you lose all sensation of touching
the bed or floor. Once this state is achieved move slowly into an
upright position and begin to travel away from your body and around
the room.
Of course, what works for one of us does not necessarily work for
all. You might just have to try out different techniques until you
find the one that you are most comfortable with. These were just
a few examples.
When I am about to leave my physical body I do hear the buzzing
sound that most people have reported, that gets really intense &
it feels like my “body” starts spinning & I then
get thrown out/projected out eventually.
But I learned that if you pay too much attention to these sensations
(like “Yay, I’m almost out now” etc.), you would
loose your concentration.
So really try to stay as relaxed as you possibly can.
I do understand that it is frustrating to try & try but keep
in mind, if you put yourself under to much pressure, you will have
a much harder time reaching your goal.
What helped me much as well was the “power of suggestion”.
Each day I told myself “I can Oobe” and/or “When
I am asleep/drifting off to sleep and I am about to Oobe, I will
become aware of it” etc.
Also I would imagine what I would all do while traveling. Imagined
all the places and people I would like to visit. Or how I would
be floating over top of my physical body looking down at myself
etc.
Other helpful visualizations are to imaging yourself, the next time
you sit down on a chair, that instead of firmly sitting on the seat
you are sliding/falling right through it or that your hand would
go right through the door instead of turning the doorknob, next
time you want to open a door. Little things like that. There are
no boundaries set to your own imagination.
Another factor, which might stop one from successfully inducing
this state of conscious, is fear. For example the fear to see spirits/souls;
the fear of heights/flying; fear not to be able to find your physical
body upon return; the fear that another entity might take over your
physical body while traveling etc. To rid myself of any subconscious
blockages that might keep me from Oobeing, I sat down to write down
all that I thought I might fear traveling and I then tried to read
up on these common fears as much as I could to feel safe/r. If you
ever do travel while you are fully aware, you will realize that
an Oobe extends far beyond the limits of our physical senses and
our intellect. After an out-of-body experience, many people report
an inner awakening of their spiritual identity, a transformation
of their self-concept. They see themselves as more than matter -
more aware and alive.
